Find Out How a Charity Spends Its Money Before You Donate

Take a look at Form 990, which every charity must file with the Internal Revenue Service. Go to www.guidestar.org, enter the name of the charity and select “Form 990.” The form details how the charity spends its money and pays its executives. If you don’t have Internet access, contact the charity directly for a copy of the latest form.
